2D2 merupakan perangkat USB converter yang berfungsi sebagai jembatan untuk menghubungkan serta mengontrol servo Dynamixel ke PC / laptop. U2D2 dapat dihubungkan ke laptop / PC dengan menggunakan kabel micro USB. U2D2 mendukung antarmuka TTL maupun RS-485 sebagai jalur komunikasi ke berbagai varian servo-servo Dynamixel. Selain itu U2D2 juga mendukung antarmuka UART sebagai jalur komunikasi ke OpenCM9.04, CM-150 dan CM-200.

U2D2 dapat digunakan untuk konfigurasi & tes kondisi servo, upgrade dan pemulihan firmware, penggantian ID servo, dan beragam fungsi lainnya.

The U2D2 ROBOTIS USB to Dynamixel Adapter allows you to control the DYNAMIXEL with your PC. It is smaller than the previous model and has mount holes to make it easier to install on robots. It uses the USB cable to connect to the PC and prevents damage of the USB terminals.

It has both 3-pin connectors for TTL communication and 4-pin connectors for RS-485 communication embedded for easier control and access for the Dynamixel X series. (Supports UART as well)
